Tats — Finalist, Romantic Suspense/Intrigue/Adventure.
A classic road trip story with a lesbian biker twist, Tats is an amusing and entertaining ride with realistic, fully developed and colorful characters and some suspense and danger added to the mix... First time novelist Layce Gardner shows considerable talent in the way the story is woven, like a gaudy tapestry ... or perhaps a biker's colors.Terry's LesFic Reviews
If you want a book for a light hearted read and a good laugh to escape reality, you won't get much better than Tats. There is a laugh on almost every page. Just don't read it in public, you may be carried off! Being a Brit, I don't always 'get' American humor, but this is so funny, I'm still grinning just thinking about it.MJ's Bookshelf
Tats: Tats is often laugh-out-loud funny -- as when Vivian decides to treat Lee to the "full monty" wax at a day spa -- and sometimes charmingly silly -- as when the duo decide to "camp" overnight inside a Wal-Mart. Vivian, it turns out, is on the run from an English mafia don and they turn in odd circles trying to avoid "Prince Charles..." The debut novel by veteran screen writer, Layce Gardner, Tats takes the iconic buddy road trip story to a new place.
