Speaking to authors & fans alike:

We don't need a definitive answer on the cruise. If we had a rush on people who wanted to go, I'd try to get us a group booking, but it's less stressful to just have everyone make their own arrangements. When we get a list of people who book I can call the cruise line and try to arrange a group seating for dinner.

Here's the info on the Join us for a 4-night cruise!.

Norwegian Cruise Lines
Norwegian Sky
Feb 15: Depart Miami
Feb 16: Grand Bahamas
Feb 17: Nassau
Feb 18: Great Stirrup Cay (NCL's private island)
Feb 19: Return Miami

KG, put me on the list for the weekend.  I don't know about the cruise yet...Mom said she doesn't want to go and I'm not sure if I want to be gone for a week or more.  But, I can do a weekend for sure.  :-)

It's like reading the first chapter of "Sea Legs" again ... You said Bahamas? Could you ask Kelly to join the group please?  Wink

I posted the info above on the 4-night cruise. We opted for Norwegian instead of Royal Caribbean because NCL has lots of balconies and RCCL doesn't. Prices on NCL were slightly lower also, but the itinerary is different -- 2 days in the Bahamas & 1 on the private island.

Salt water

I booked already. Hope you will too, and make sure you select FEB 15 as the departure date. Post it here when you do so we know how many people are coming along.

Geez, that Bella Books and Spinsters Ink person is such a downer! I am hoping to be able to book my passage next week. It sounds like so much fun. I love cruises - but fair warning. BRING YOUR OWN CHOCOLATE because no cruise line I've ever been on had a clue. I could have sold M&Ms for a fortune on some of them after about 4 days.

*glancing at tummy* Oy, I think this means I have to lose the Thanksgiving/Christmas weight gain before I gain it this year.

I'm thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis close to springing some exciting news on you!  Grin  I may even have it for you later today.

In the meantime ... Carleen? I hope you'll be joining us for the cruise. I predict it will be unforgettable.

ariannamcclare ... are you joining us for the Stonewall Workday on Saturday, or just the YTour readings & the cruise? I've put you down for M&Ms.

I'll need someone to share a cabin with me, that's for sure!  The single rate is ridiculously expensive.

I'm up for roommates at a hotel in Ft Lauderdale for the weekend too.

If I can make the whole thing financially feasible, then I'm there!  (Mom has given me a definite "no" on going...bummer.  I think she'd have fun.)

Carleen

P.S.  KG....stop with the teasing, already! LOL

KG- I will be heading to Florida on Friday evening, with Kat, so I think I will be missing the Saturday event.  We will most likely get there late Saturday afternoon.  Depends on how many stops we take along the way. (I have to get photos of everything this trip.)  I will pick up M&M's from the Mr. Bulky's here.  What colors should I pick?

GayNow- I totally agree she should stop teasing us so much.

Great news that Ruth Perkinson is coming to the YTour.  Now, if we can convince Robbi McCoy and Marianne Garver to attend I'll be in 7th Heaven.

Do we know a general area in Ft Lauderdale?  I'm looking at hotel prices and I'm not sure what would be "close" to the events the Y-tour has planned.  I remember there was a general kind of map for Denver...is there something similar for FLL?  (I'm trying to determine pricing.  Once I have more concrete information, I'll probably be posting for anyone who will be looking for a roommate during the trip. Smiley

Thanks!
