LOL Z. Carpe Xena.
Sideways - Paul Giamatti and Virginia Madsen (whom I've always liked, quiet style). Plus Sandra Oh, always a pleasure.

TuliA moving Filipino movie, with beautiful framing (the acting leaves much to be desired, but it's visibly a low-budget film, and very few actresses were likely to accept to appear in a movie like this...).

The War Widow - little known lesbian themed movie shown on PBS. With Katherine Bard and Pamela Bellwood
From IMDB: Originally broadcast by KCET (PBS) on their dramatic showcase series, "Visions," this sweet, quiet film is set during World War I. It is the story of Amy, a proper, but lonely housewife whose husband is away at war. She finds solace in a friendship with a more worldly female photographer, only to have her entire world turned upside down when the friendship becomes genuine love and she is forced to choose. Groundbreaking for its powerful yet non-prurient portrayal of lesbian first love.

I saw it on my tiny little B&W TV in my dorm room when it first came out. Yes, I am dating myself with that information. LOL I bought the video, too, and I think they may have released it on DVD by now. It's like a filmed stage play.

Time After Time - Malcolm Macdowell and Amy Irving (if memory serves)
Karin, It was Mary Steenburgen. They later married in real life and divorced. I only know this because I loved the movie. Great story about time travel and Jack the Ripper. And of course the romance between Macdowell and Steenburgen. Chris
