I saw it on my tiny little B&W TV in my dorm room when it first came out. Yes, I am dating myself with that information. LOL I bought the video, too, and I think they may have released it on DVD by now. It's like a filmed stage play.

It was Mary Steenburgen. They later married in real life and divorced. I only know this because I loved the movie. Great story about time travel and Jack the Ripper. And of course the romance between Macdowell and Steenburgen.
