After decades as an award-winning journalist, poet and playwright, it was natural for Nat Burns to turn to fiction, and to explore the lives and loves of lesbians. With a long history of freelance writing and a career as an editorial systems analyst, she’s now a full-time novelist, editor and proofreader. She lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico with her partner, Chris. Nat is a member of the Golden Crown Literary Society and on the board of the Opus Literary Alliance.
Nat’s debut novel, Two Weeks in August, won a 2011 Alice B Committee Lavender Certificate for new writers. In 2024, she won the Alice B Medal for a career distinguished by consistently well-written stories about lesbians.
