Rachel Gold (they/she) is the author of multiple, award-winning queer & trans Young Adult novels. Rachel is also an English professor at Macalester College—the same college where she was once an undergrad—and is watching a new generation of queer and trans students pull the same things she got away with in the ‘90s. Rachel has a diverse writing career that includes seven years as a reporter for a regional LGBTQ newspaper and fifteen years surviving corporate marketing. Rachel’s debut novel, Being Emily, was the first Young Adult novel to tell the story of a transgender girl from her perspective. Rachel is a nonbinary lesbian, all-around nerd and avid gamer.
