Nance lives in upstate New York with her two rescue dogs. Misty was a breeding dog for seven years in a puppy mill. Onie is from Puerto Rico. Personality abounds in these two as they find their way into each other’s hearts, but they have already found their way into hers and she thanks them every day with lots of love, treats, play and walks (and on rare occasion, a McDonald’s French Fry).
She partakes in several hobbies that include biking, gardening, hiking, kayaking, watching movies and tv (her favorites are fantasy, sci fi, mysteries and thrillers), and traveling (she’s a big Disney and Universal fan) having had many opportunities throughout her lifetime to explore many wonderful places.
Writing and music are her first loves. She bought her first guitar, a twelve string, in high school and has been playing and writing songs along with writing stories and journals ever since. She sings now and then with her music partner, Dooley and loves Karaoke. However, sixteen years ago, she turned her focus to writing novels because there were stories in her head that insisted on being told.
She loves the mind’s imagination and creative processes, where her greatest pleasure comes from—writing. It’s so rewarding to create characters and their stories, but even more so to share them with her readers. And there’s nothing like writing a song, putting it to music with harmonies and listening to the final product or holding the book when the story is finished and published.
