We love almost anything written by D. Jackson Leigh, but this story was outstanding. The humorous yet believable character development of overly rigid Perry juxtaposed with New Age Ming was fascinating and well executed. Perry’s transformation into a sensitive and caring animal lover – as well as an actual lover of humans – was wonderful. My wife and I read to each other before bed (mostly Bella Books!) and we couldn’t put this one down.
