This is a follow up book to Always Faithful but it is also a fine stand alone book too. In this book Nic is sent to Afghanistan where she once again is severely injured. Claire is determined to be by Nic’s side in spite of herself.
I enjoyed this book even more than the first. This one was more about the wounds and healing Nic endured and what Claire experienced as her wife and lover. Together they faced the pain and fear and insecurities. The reappearance of Jordan was fantastic, she is such a smart a**, I just adore her!
