Blythe H. Warren survived fifteen years as a college English teacher before calling it quits. Now she has a much less stressful career in retail. Her first novel was a Lammy finalist, she won a Goldie for her second novel, Bait and Switch, and she writes the Matilda Smithwick mysteries under her real name (E.J. Cochrane). When she’s not working or writing, she’s training for her next marathon (which she always swears will be her last one). She and her partner live with their ball-obsessed pit bull, Gonzo, and his adoring feline fan club: Beatrix, Juniper and Aoife.
