Just finished Jenny Frame’s latest, “Hunger For You.”Having read its prequel, “Dapper” previously, I was psyched to be able to find out what was in store for Byron & Amelia especially after Frame revealed she’d turn their story into a vampire story!
Gotta say, it’s me new favourite paranormal series now! What an exciting, enthrallingly seductive & quite an erotic ride, indeed! Who doesn’t a classy, tailor-suited, suave, dashing vampire royal butch, eh? Byron & Amelia’s sizzling chemistry that ignited from the prequel literally exploded into hot in this 1st in the series! Rousing & electrifying Their all-encompassing love for each other & the inevitable obstacles will draw you in. Fascinating story of Byron’s world, the warring clans & Amelia’s twist (which you’ll have to read the book to find out ). I was also captivated by the secondary pair – Alexis & Katie – their constant bickering was really engaging & funny! You know how opposites always attract! Hopefully Frame will feature their journey in the next book!
All in all, “Hunger For You” is a fun & satisfying read! It’s not the usual action-packed kind of vampire/paranormal trope (although there’s a fair amount of action) but a true *swoon* seductive romantic love story with a solid backstory of Byron’s paranormal world filled with not just vampires & the 2 warring clans, but also witches, fae, other ancient species (which I’d never read about until now, much to my delight! ) & humans who’re aware of & have been immersed in the paranormal world. Love, friendship, kinship, revenge, hate, jealousy engulf Byron/Amelia’s world in this first chapter of the series. A truly fascinating world & cast of characters that Frame has deftly created which I hope will expand into future chapters.
I highly recommend a read especially if you’re into the paranormal & romance genres. Plus, I simply love Jenny’s writing style. This one is on me re-read list, that’s for sure! If you haven’t read the prequel, “Dapper,” give it a read because it’s fun, sexy & erotic, as it delves more into Amelia’s world of tailoring (those gorgeously described outfits), Byron’s appearance & persona (oh-so dapper, chic, well-bred, so…debonair!), the genesis of Byron & Amelia’s undeniable attraction to each other….Although even if you haven’t read it, no worries, Frame has recapped the gist of the prequel in HFY. But it’s a quick, enjoyable read, nonetheless.
Anyway, cheers, Jenny Frame, for creating such a cool paranormal world for us & those fabulous characters are simply delish! I hope this series continues as there’s so much potential in the characters & situations introduced in this 1st book that I’d love to read more about & explore as Byron/Amelia & their cohorts continue their journey of love, family & unity as they tread along the human & paranormal worlds!
