FROM THE AUTHOR
"To Be With You evolved from a single scene I’d had in my head since high school (an indeterminate number of years ago). Threads of my teen years are woven into the fabric of the story, altered to be their own tale.
The title comes from a song, like my previous novel, but this time it has a small, sneaky part to play in the narrative."
Silvia M. - …Their story is beautifully written, and the epilogue is quite different than the usual, a much-needed glimpse into the future, especially when we’re looking at such young MCs. This is TJ O’Shea’s second book and it’s already close to perfection, very excited to see more from this author.
Della B. - This is O’Shea’s second novel, yet she writes as a seasoned veteran. There is a mature patience to both the construction of the storyline and the writing style which holds the reader firmly in its grasp. We are taken deeply into both of Leah’s and Tori’s lives, motivations and hardships and live every bit of it with them. To Be with You is the book you have been waiting to read this year. It will not disappoint.
Cori W. - This is a must-read for anyone that loves a good romance, especially top tier lesfic. It's also my first book by the author, so I'm going to now go read Beyond the Blue and eagerly await her next title while also suggesting this book to other lesfic lovers! A solid 5 out of 5 stars.
Teddy T. - Ooh this book gave me chills! It's a coming of age, second chance romance that's beautifully written. Though lots of second chance books dip into the past throughout the book, slowly revealing the first romance while the second unfolds, this book gives us both in full. We see the entire beautiful love story from the past and then the present. There's lots of chest-clutching angst, but it's all appropriate to the story—no frustrating miscommunication—it's all a logical, heartbreaking, bittersweet, part of their love story….Highly recommend.
Carol C. - This was a wonderful love story.… A very powerful read which was beautifully written.
Kaye C. - Beautifully written. A mix coming of age romance with a second chance romance in one novel.
Jennifer S. - To Be with You is one of the best books I've read in a very, very long time. I love it and cannot recommend it enough. The chemistry between Tori and Leah is off the charts. The dialogue is well written, the supporting characters are developed and fit seamlessly into the plot. I hated to see this one end and even after finishing up a couple of days ago it is still on my mind. I will definitely be re-reading this book—probably multiple times.
Nathalie D. - There are books that pull you in from the start. This is one of those books. Just reading the first chapter had me completely invested in Leah and Tori's story.
The book has 2 timelines for our MC's and the author perfectly puts these in sync. The present story makes you wonder if these two really are meant to be together or if it would be better if they let each other go.
The heart of the story is the pure feelings the MC's have for one another. Love isn't easy especially when life throws you one curveball after another. Seeing them navigate their love and different lives makes this a very rich story and I just could not put the book down.
Meike V.…this is a wonderful YA/NA book, it’s well written with characters that you feel like you really get to know and like. Highly recommended!
Sam B. - I'm a sucker for second chance romances and this book hit all the right feels for me. TJ O'Shea wrote with such skill that I couldn't put this book down. I read it in one sitting. I usually don't do this, but I had to know how it all played out. Go get this book.
Alexandra L. - TJ O’Shea‘s To Be with You is one of the best books I have read in 2022. …I haven’t felt this moved by a book in a long time, the differences between the MCs make them fit together perfectly, the chemistry is off the charts and the character growth is just amazing.
Cheryl S. - 5 stars. Wonderful story of young romance, struggles with coming out, second chances and deciding what’s most important in your life and for your future. This is a very warm and emotional story and I’m sure most readers will relate to many of the events...good and bad. The story grabbed me from the first page, and I immediately wanted to know more. You will not be disappointed.
Leah M. - To Be with You is TJ O’Shea’s sophomore romance novel. It’s a second-chance romance that quickly moved into the top 10 of my 2022 favorites.
Cathie W. - Second chance plot lines are one of my favorites and this did not disappoint. Warm and emotional, sweet and cleverly written, I loved this book.
